搭飛機前複習這些單字，就可以在機艙上與空服員流利對談

英文為國際共通語言，當你搭飛機時，不論是飛機上的文字指示，或是機長、空服員的對話，幾乎都是英文，來看看坐飛機時，會碰到哪些單字吧！

• flight attendant 飛機上的空服人員（機長、空服員）

Cathy hopes to be a flight attendant.（凱西希望可以成為一名空服員。）

• cabin crew 空服員

The cabin crew were serving beverages to the passengers after the plane took off.（空服員在飛機起飛之後為乘客提供飲料。）

• steward / stewardess 在船上、飛機上或火車上為乘客送餐及提供服務的人員

Mike went around the world as a ship’s steward.（麥克因為身為一名船上的服務員而全球跑透透。）

• passenger safety 乘客安全

You should read the Airline Passenger Safety Tips before the plane takes off.（在飛機起飛前你必須詳閱飛行安全規定。）

• captain 機長

This is your captain speaking. We expect to be landing at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport in an hour’s time.（這裡是機長廣播，我們預計在一小時內即將抵達桃園國際機場。）

• emergency exits 緊急出口

My seat is in an emergency exit row.（我的座位位在緊急出口那一排。）

• seat belt 安全帶

Please fasten up your seat belts.（請繫好您的安全帶。）

• lavatory 廁所

The lavatory is occupied.（廁所目前有人使用中。）

• armrest 椅子上的扶手

The person in the middle seat should be entitled to use the armrests.（座位中間的乘客應允許使用椅子上的扶手。）

• reading light 當飛機上大多數燈關掉的時候，可以打開自己的燈

It might be polite to ask your seatmate whether it’s okay to leave the reading light on.（為了禮貌的考量，你應詢問你座位旁的乘客是否可以讓閱讀燈亮著。）

• overhead luggage compartment 通常位於飛機上乘客座位上方的儲物箱

Beware when you place your carry on luggage in the overhead luggage compartment.（請留意當你要將隨身物品或是行李放在座位上方的儲物箱。）

• foot rest 坐著的時候放腳的支撐物

I want to buy an inflatable foot rest for long plane ride.（我想為了長途旅程買一個可充氣的腳踏墊。）

• in-flight entertainment 包括電影、音樂和遊戲等機艙內的娛樂項目

Don’t worry. All in-flight entertainment is free.（別擔心，機艙內所有的娛樂設施都是免費的。）

• blanket 毛毯

She covered herself up with a blanket.（她用毛毯將自己複蓋起來。）

• estimated time of arrival （ETA） 飛機預計到達目的地時間

The estimated time of arrival of this flight is 10:16.（這班飛機預計抵達目的地的時間為10點16分）

• estimated time of departure 飛機預計起飛時間

What is your estimated time of departure?（你搭的那班飛機預計何時起飛？）

• unaccompanied minor 沒有成人陪伴、獨自飛行的小孩

First Class is not available for unaccompanied minors children aged 12 years or below who travel alone.（頭等艙是不允許沒有成人陪伴或是小於12歲以下的小孩獨自飛行。）

• passenger manifest 飛機上所有乘客座位表

Sorry, your name is not listed on the passenger manifest.（抱歉，您的大名並沒有在乘客座位表上。）

• galley 飛機上的廚房

Most aircraft galleys are generally very similar in design.（飛機上的廚房通常在設計上都很相似。）

• food trolley 送食物及水的小推車

The food trolley is broken.（送食物的餐車壞了。）

• turbulence 飛機行進間所遭遇的不穩定氣流

We might be experiencing some turbulence on this flight due to an approaching electrical storm.（我們接下來可能因為即將靠近的雷暴而遇到不穩定的氣流。）
