描述快樂只會用「happy」？用這12種英文慣用語表達你有多high

你還記得最近一次感到開心是什麼時候嗎？你是如何表達出你的快樂呢？在英文中有很多不同的說法來描述愉快的感覺，包括很多有趣的英文慣用語。

所以，當你想跟旁人分享你現在的心情有多high，該怎麼用英文說呢？來看一下我們整理的幾種不同的說法吧！

1. on cloud nine

如果感覺像飛到了九重雲霄之上，當然是非常高興囉 !

Ａ：Was Meg pleased about getting that job?（Meg很高興得到那份工作嗎？）
Ｂ：Pleased? She was on cloud nine!（高興？她簡直樂歪了！）

2. over the moon!

人在月亮上，應該會雀躍不已吧！

Little Judy was over the moon with her new bike.小Judy因為得到一台新的腳踏車而雀躍不已。

3. as happy as a pig in mud

豬要是能夠在泥巴裡玩耍，應該是非常開心吧！

Susan sat in her high chair with ice cream dribbling down her chin, happy as a pig in mud.
Susan坐在高腳椅上吃著冰淇淋，冰淇淋從她的下巴滴下來，真是開心極了！

4. as happy as Larry

Larry在19世紀許多英文的典故中是一個高興的人，雖然說法莫衷一是，但用法持續至今。

My mom’s as happy as Larry at the weekend when we all arrive home.
當我們所有人都回家的周末，我媽超開心！

5. grinning from ear to ear

笑容從左邊的耳朵延伸到右邊的耳朵，笑得合不攏嘴，真是高興的不得了啊！

When I saw Ryan grinning from ear to ear, I knew he had passed the exam.
當我看到Ryan笑得合不攏嘴，我就知道他已經通過考試了。

6. jumping up and down with excitement

興奮得跳上跳下

Mark was jumping up and down with excitement after he realized he had won the lottery.
Mark得知他簽中了樂透獎後，興奮得跳來跳去。

7. on top of the world

身在世界之頂，當然感到極度幸福 !

Winning a gold medal was the happiest moment of my life. I was on top of the world.
贏得金牌是我人生中最開心的時刻，我猶如身處世界之頂，極度幸福了！

8. full of the joys of spring

感受到春天的美好，當然是愉悅至極！

Laura has a new boyfriend. She is full of the joys of spring.
Laura 交了新男朋友，春風滿面，好幸福！

9. be walking on air

感覺飄飄然，就像在空中漫步，真是高興極了！

After the delivery of her baby, Annie was walking on air.
生下孩子後，Annie 心情好極了！

10. happy as a clam

躲在泥土裡的蛤蜊只有在低潮的時候才能被找到，漲潮時是挖不到的。因此漲潮時的蛤蜊最快樂了，因為不會被挖出來吃掉。

Matt is happy as a clam living all by himself in the little house by the sea.
Matt自己住在海邊的小屋中，他非常地開心！

11. like a dog with two tails

狗在高興或興奮的時候會搖起尾巴，所以想像一下，如果一個人像狗一樣搖起了兩條尾巴，該是多麼開心呀！

When Jerry won the first prize, he was like a dog with two tails.
Jerry贏得了第一名，他多麼高興啊！

12. in seventh heaven

字面上的意思是身在第七重天，這是上帝的所在，至高無上的境界，當然快樂極了。

Heidi is in seventh heaven after learning she’s pregnant.
Heidi得知她懷孕後，快樂極了！
